Coalport China
About Coalport
Coalport porcelain was first made around 1795 by John Rose at Coalport in Shropshire, on the River Severn near the famous Iron Bridge. The factory became known for delicate flower-encrusted pieces and finely painted china, and its Indian Tree pattern has been a classic for over two centuries. Coalport moved to Stoke-on-Trent in 1926 and joined the Wedgwood group in 1967. Its bone china figurines are also widely collected.
