Johnson Brothers China
About Johnson Brothers
Johnson Brothers was founded in 1883 when brothers Alfred and Frederick Johnson took over a small pottery in Hanley, Staffordshire. The company made sturdy, affordable earthenware that was exported around the world and became especially popular in America. Patterns such as Old Britain Castles, Friendly Village, Rose Chintz and Eternal Beau have filled kitchen cupboards for generations. Johnson Brothers joined the Wedgwood group in 1968.
