About Royal Copenhagen

Royal Copenhagen was founded in 1775 in Copenhagen, Denmark, under the patronage of Queen Juliane Marie. Its hand-painted blue porcelain, starting with Blue Fluted, the factory's very first pattern, is still painted by hand today, and every piece carries the three wavy lines that stand for Denmark's three waterways. Flora Danica and its annual Christmas plates are also treasured by collectors.
