Villeroy & Boch dates back to 1748, when Francois Boch began making pottery in Lorraine. In 1836 the Boch family joined forces with Nicolas Villeroy, and the company has been based ever since in Mettlach, Germany, in a former Benedictine abbey. Known for durable, cheerful European porcelain, Villeroy & Boch makes patterns such as French Garden, Basket and Petite Fleur that are as practical for every day as they are pretty.
