Wedgwood Crystal

About Wedgwood

Josiah Wedgwood opened his pottery in Burslem, Staffordshire, in 1759 and became one of the great names of English industry. After making a tea service for Queen Charlotte in 1765 he was allowed to call his cream-colored earthenware Queen's Ware, and in the 1770s he introduced Jasperware, the matte stoneware with white cameo reliefs still linked to his name. Wedgwood bone china patterns such as Florentine, Runnymede and Wild Strawberry have been wedding-registry favorites for decades.
